Dallas’ Cybersecurity Coordinator, Chad Adams, will share what the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is doing to protect US businesses from cyber crime, federal resources that are available to you (that you likely aren’t taking advantage of). Aldridge CIO, Chad Hiatt, will teach you how you can prepare your business for an increasingly aggressive threat landscape.

Meet the Speakers
CHAD ADAMS
Supervisory Cybersecurity Advisor | DHS, CISA
Chad Adams, a Supervisory Cybersecurity Advisor for DHS/CISA Region 6 with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), has over 23 years’ experience in Cyber Security, threat mitigation and analysis, risk management, advanced IT support, and complex system design and support. He is focused on support critical infrastructure owners and operators to manage cyber risk and create improvements with CISA Region 6.
More recently, Mr. Adams has worked in Government service with The Department of Homeland Security for over 12 years. He has held positions as a team leader in cyber security assessments, cybersecurity advisor, federal cyber security audits, and threat mitigation. Currently, he is a Supervisory Cybersecurity Advisor with DHS CISA Region 6, providing cyber support, cyber security assessments, cyber outreach, training, speaking engagements, and incident coordination with State, Local, and Federal organizations, and private Critical Infrastructure companies and organizations throughout CISA Region 6. Chad is also an active member of the FBI Cyber Squad in Dallas, TX and a member of ASIS International.
Prior to joining CISA, Chad worked for Quest Software, Inc. based in California, and Dell Computers in Round Rock, TX as a Unix/Linux complex systems analyst supporting Government and Large Sector organizations. He also served as a consultant for small and medium sector organizations, as well as a sheriff’s deputy in Louisiana investigating cyber & internet-related crimes.
Mr. Adams attended Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA and holds a degree in Information Systems Management and Security. He also holds various industry standard certifications in complex system design, support, security, management, network security, and IT support.
