Meet The Speakers
Brett Tanferani
Engagement Manager
Brett Tanferani is an Engagement Manager with CYPFER, assisting clients through a variety of Cyber response situations including ransomware and business email compromise events. Mr. Tanferani additionally advises on industrial espionage, terrorism/workplace violence and physical security practices to include facilities, personal cyber hygiene and overseas travel awareness.
Prior to entering the private sector Mr. Tanferani was a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation for over 21 years, specializing in counterterrorism, counterintelligence and nation state cyber crime. He retired from the FBI in 2021 as an Assistant Special Agent in Charge at the Los Angeles FBI Field Office and prior to that assignment served as the Assistant Section Chief of the Russian Counterintelligence Section at FBI headquarters in Washington, DC.
Mr. Tanferani is also a US Army Veteran, serving as a US Army Counterintelligence Special Agent and then as a US Army Intelligence Officer, leaving the military at the rank of Captain.
Mr. Tanferani was born and raised on a ranch in northern California, attended college at the University of La Verne in southern California and has been employed in the world’s most dangerous job, working as a commercial crab fisherman in the Bering Sea.
Chad Hiatt
Chief Technology Officer
At Aldridge, Chad is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). His role entails working to further advance the company’s technology strengths, thought leadership, and value delivery to clients. Chad’s technology career began early, programming his own games as a kid and writing educational software in grade school. Chad started his first IT company before he could drive, and during the 30 years of his career, has developed into a technology and security architect with the skills to identify, align, and execute the IT strategies and initiatives of organizations across a variety of industries.
