Although Copilot will respect your data privacy, follow your organization’s AI policy first. If your organization doesn’t want you to put any private information into Copilot, it’s more important that you follow your company’s policy.

For those using Copilot for through applications like Excel, PowerPoint, or Word, understanding the importance of prompts is crucial. Prompts refer to how questions are asked, or instructions are given to Copilot. Clear and specific prompts ensure accurate and relevant responses. This concept is akin to using ChatGPT, where the quality of the query significantly impacts the response quality.

Upon entering any Microsoft application such as PowerPoint, Word, or Excel, the Copilot icon is located on the Home tab of the ribbon. The icon’s color corresponds with the application being used, ensuring a seamless integration with the overall interface.
